Minisport is one of Australia’s Premier Classic Mini and Moke specialists. We keep the largest stock of classic Mini and Moke parts in the southern hemisphere, most of our stock is imported from the UK, but many hard to find parts for Australian production cars are sourced locally from Australian suppliers. Our huge range of parts is complimented by our extremely knowledgeable support staff and our specialist workshop offering a range of services: from full rebuilds and restorations - to your specification, to regular services and repairs required to keep your pride and joy running like a dream.
Where it all started:
In the mid 70's a small workshop dedicated to the BMC Mini called MINIFIX was established in Blackwood in the Adelaide hills. In 1997 Andrew Withall, son of Mini enthusiast John, joined MINIFIX for work experience which immediately lead to a regular job on Saturdays while Andrew continued with school. By early 1999 MINIFIX had dissolved and a new business was established on South Road in Clovelley Park. The new company was called MINISPORT. At this time Andrew joined the 2 mechanics at MINISPORT as a full time apprentice mechanic. Andrew soon became the visionary behind the MINISPORT Australia business that we know today. By mid 2000 Andrew took it upon himself to establish and develop the minisport.com.au web site in his own time (in spite of the resistance from the old school mechanics). The online business soon boomed and by 2022 the business had grown to employ 12 people and had become established as the premiere Mini and Moke parts supplier in the southern hemisphere.
In August 2022, Jono Morris purchased the Minisport business in its entirety. Jono grew up in a household surrounded by Minis and Mokes, just down the road from MINIFIX in Blackwood where he became a regular visitor to the workshop. Since then Jono has become an avid collector, restorer and occasional racer of Minis and Mokes. Having moved to Sydney in the early 90's Jono remained a regular visitor and customer of Minisport, while as Managing Director of world renowned racing yacht builder McConaghy Boats in Sydney, Jono had been responsible for overseeing the construction of some of the worlds most successful carbon fiber racing yachts during his 20+ year career with the company.
After living, working (and collecting Minis) in Sydney, Malaysia and the UK over the last 30 years, Jono returned with his family to his home town of Adelaide in mid 2020 looking for a new opportunity.
In mid 2022 we embarked on a new era for Minisport, building on the solid foundations established by a great team:
